Webster’s New World College Dictionary defines a white lie as a lie concerning a trivial matter, often one told to spare someone's feelings. “Honey, how do you like my new haircut?” “Do these jeans make my hips look big?” In relationships, these are difficult waters to navigate, and damage can be done if care is not taken.
In this series, we will look at a far more dangerous set of “white lies”. These lies, if believed, won’t just damage your relationships, they will destroy them:
* Sensual pleasure will satisfy my inner longings for happiness.
* If other people would shape up, my life would work out.
* Upwardly mobile work opportunities are automatically the will of God.
* My significance and value are measured by the quality and quantity of the things I possess.
* My spiritual condition can be determined by my Sunday schedule.
* The grass is greener on the other side of the fence.

*A type of deception in the form of an untruthful statement,
especially with the intention to deceive others, often with the
further intention to maintain a secret or reputation, protect
